Hey y'all! Welcome to my life highlights summed up on a tiny screen.

 

I am a senior Advertising major at the University of Oklahoma with a double minor in General Business and Enterprise Studies.

 

The question that drives my interest in Advertising has and will always be: Can you keep up?

When I was little, I never thought I’d pursue a job in this field. It wasn’t that I had anything against it, I just dreamt about being a scientist. However, that all changed when Keeping up with the Kardashians became my guilty pleasure. After binge-watching the first season, I was amazed at the fact that Kris Jenner had turned her daughters’ sex tape into a multimillion-dollar family franchise. Kris’s ability to change society’s perception of Kim Kardashian in a time where according to societal rule, Kim’s reputation should have been desolated instead of rapidly flourishing astounded me. Fast forward to nowadays, Kim Kardashian has her own KKW Beauty line along with a plethora of businesses and Kris Jenner has managed to keep her family’s TV show continuously number one because she strategically mastered the skill of "expect the unexpected".

 

In correlation to advertising, people in this field have to also master "expect the unexpected". Every day new challenges arise from up-and-coming products and it's our jobs to be able to work quickly on our feet to make sure their clients continuously stay number one.
